Position Overview

As an Electrical Intern, you’ll play a vital role in assisting the Electrical Team in a variety of areas which aid the production team in creating high-strength structural components used in aerospace applications worldwide. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to a mission that literally helps the world take flight.

  • Competitive Pay:
    • 1st Shift
      • $12.00/hour starting (depending on experience)
      • 8:00AM-4:00PM
      • Flexible schedule options

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all company safety, health and environmental policies, rules and regulations
  • Will train along staff, to learn about:
    • Three phase electrical circuits; motors and motor control circuits
    • Electrical schematics; programmable logic controllers
    • Variable frequency drives; NFPA 70E and NEC
  • May assist with:
    • Engineering documentation of machinery
    • Installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery, and electrical and electronic equipment
    • Furnishing tools, materials, and supplies to other workers.
    • Cleaning work area, machines, and tools
  • Performs other required duties as needed in addition to the essential responsibilities described above

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Some College
  • Minimum Experience: Ideally 1 to 2 years in the engineering field
  • Certifications Required but Provided by UAC: Confined spaces certification; Crane certification; Fall protection certification; Forklift certification; Lock-out/Tag-out certification; Pallet jack certification
  • Physically able to stand, bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Safety Commitment

All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety trainings, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employees must understand the PPE and wear it properly.


ITAR REQUIREMENTS
