Position Overview

As a Die Designer, you’ll play a vital role in designing extrusion dies and gages for inspecting parts for producing high-strength structural components used in aerospace applications worldwide. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to a mission that literally helps the world take flight.

Responsibilities

  • Exercise and promote safety
  • Receive pre-sale quote request and customer prints from Sales department
  • Review all customer prints and requirements for producibility
  • Enter all required information into the UAC Engineering System
  • Produce, mill, master and first article prints for production
  • Design secondary tooling gauges, stretcher and rework tooling
  • Maintain inventory of tooling
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED; engineering degree a plus
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year of CAD/Drafting and/or 1-year machine shop experience; SolidWorks experience preferred with knowledge of machine and tool capability; FEA analysis a plus
  • Certifications Required: SolidWorks certificate of training a plus
  • Physically able to stand, bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Safety Commitment
