Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Exercise and promote safety
- Read and understand the hard card documentation and process
- Know where to place the hard card when complete
- Understand training sheets
- Know production schedule
- Collect data
- Verify piece count
- Inspect material
- Build loads and racks
- Generate load sheet
- Operate and program ovens
- Understand TC wire connection
- Secure tags on racks
- Cool material with fans
- Understand lab releases
- Send samples to the lab
- Close out age sheet
- Understand basics of the PLC and Historian
- Understand oven restrictions
- Understand the required tools and how to use them
- Fill out electronic data
- Fill out inspection forms (i.e. crane, forklift, pallet jack)
- Prepare the line for the next shift
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED
- Minimum Experience: 3 months’ experience
- Certifications Required: Confined spaces certification; Crane certification; Fall protection certification; Forklift certification; Lock-out/Tag-out certification; Pallet jack certification; Pyrometry certification (certifications completed in new hire orientation)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to assimilate ideas originated by others
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructions
- Physical Abilities: Regularly required to stand, walk and use hands; must be able to lift 50 pounds at any time during his/her shift; the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
