Intern - Human Resources (College Level)

UAC supplies aircraft manufacturers and their subcontractors worldwide and has served the aircraft industry for over four decades. UAC specializes in 2000- and 7000-series alloys and offers a full range of alloys and tempers that can be tailored to a customer’s particular application.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Will/may assist staff in the following areas:

  • Greet applicants and support the application process.
  • Respond to online applicants and schedule assessments and interviews.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and complete onboarding tasks in HCMS.
  • Maintain and upload employee records in HCMS per compliance standards.
  • Assist with monthly newsletter content and formatting.
  • Help coordinate employee appreciation events (community outreach, luncheons, birthdays, etc.).
  • Manage Online UAC Store operations and inventory.
  • Update employee data (employment, payroll, benefits, performance, etc.).
  • Process terminations, separation notices, and exit interviews.
  • Create or modify employee work schedules as requested.
  • Compile HR data and create visual charts for stakeholders.
  • Generate reports and share with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support payroll and accounting with special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in HR, Communications, or Marketing.
  • Strong interest in HR, working with people, and following procedures.
  • Detail-oriented with an interest in data and project work.
  • Strong Excel skills; Power BI a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Clear verbal and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.

Working Conditions

  • Schedule: 1st shift

Safety

All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employees must comply with the PPE requirements and wear them properly.
